Unhappiness is the constant
remembrance of past injuries
- Past memories can bind and sadden the heart (Prov. 12:25, Prov 15:13, Luke
15:28-30).
- We can loose ourselves by "letting go" and forgiving (Col. 3:13, II Tim.
4:16).
- Christ and God are our examples of "letting go" of past offenses (Luke
23:34, Is. 38:17, Ps. 103:12, Micah 7:19, Is. 43:25, Jer. 31:34).
- It is good for us in this life and in preparing for eternity (Mark 11:25).
